The Louisville Community Foundation has announced that three local organizations have received investment capital through Invest Louisville, a program for investing impacts aimed at combining and deploying resources for local projects in insufficient areas of the city. Started in July 2024, Invest Louisville provides loans, debt guarantees and credit lines to support accessible and affordable homes, job creation and community development. The latest recipients are Rebound, Inc., Urban League Louisville and Re: Land Group.

Louisiana

The Baton Rouge Area Foundation has announced Sasaki’s selection, an international planning group to run the Baton Rouge III plan, a planning initiative focused on the progress in the center of Batton Rouge. The main planning of the project Sasaki is Joshua Brooks, a native of Baton Rouge. The process will take place in 12 months and will include community reviews.

Michigan

The Greater Flint Community Foundation has announced the first round of grants from its Flintnow fund. A total of $ 1.595,000 will support major programs in the community. Recipients first include communities, Vision to Learn, Michigan State University and Motherly Intercession. For 2025, a second round of grants was planned.

New York

New York Community Trust (NYCT) has announced the results of our votes, our vision, our community, an initiative managed by the Community. As part of its centenary celebration, NYCT invited New Yorkers to vote for three areas of issue, to which the foundation will spend $ 1 million each. By studying the NYCT website, voters chose homes at affordable prices, mental and behavioral health and non -profit resistance as questions that are relevant to them for the coming year.

Pennsylvania

The Pittsburgh Foundation has announced that it will open its new headquarters at the end of the Pittsburgh Cultural Quarter on February 28, attending its presence in the city center after nearly 30 years in PPG Plaza. In its new offices, the Foundation aims to convene donors, benesty, organizers, community leaders and other stakeholders from southwestern Pennsylvania to learn and create solutions to fit local challenges.

The Erie Community Foundation has announced the addition of Lauren Bauer and Kathleen Brugger in its board of trustees. Bauer is a certified investment manager. In 2024, she chaired the Erie Women’s Fund and led the campaign above and beyond, which created a million dollars for the Fund. Brugger is a controller in Bruger’s family funeral homes and cremators, where it manages operating costs, organizational data and financial issues of the business.

Wisconsin

The Community Foundation for the Fox Valley region has announced the opening of the Appleton Revitalized Public Library after 17 years of effort. Following a 2008 space need in 2008, a $ 40.4 million renovation began in 2022, adding 7,000 square feet of space, including cooperation areas, creation studies and an extended children’s services area. Through various fundraising efforts, 625 donors, including more than $ 30, totaling over $ 1 million from the Foundation, have raised to support the library renovation.
