It’s the first weekend of November and the heat of summer has turned to the chill of fall as NFL teams take the field for the last time before the trade deadline on Tuesday, November 5th at 4:00 PM New York.
In Week 9, the NFL gives fans a matchup of two teams that have added a quarterback early in one of the last two drafts. The Indianapolis Colts used the fourth overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft on Anthony Richardson, while the Minnesota Vikings selected JJ McCarthy tenth overall in April.
Unfortunately, fans won’t be able to see either of these two young quarterbacks as McCarthy is on injured reserve following surgery to repair a torn meniscus, meaning Sam Darnold is the starter for the Vikings and Richardson is benched for Week 9 in favor of Joe Flacco.
The Vikings enter the game with a 5.5-point lead, with an over/under of 46.5 at FanDuel Sportsbook. This will likely be a tall order against a Colts team that needs to move the ball and score better under the veteran The Vikings will likely win, though the Colts should be able to keep it close enough to cover the spread while both teams put enough points on the board for the money over.
Fans can tune in to the game at 8:20 ET/5:20 PT on NBC or stream the game on Peacock.
