Cognizant Classic has added a quartet of strong names to the tournament for next week with a trio of Top-25 players, along with the highest ranked lover Luke Clanton on Monday.
The event begins on February 27 at PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
Clanton, junior in Florida, who is from the nearby hyaliah, Florida, will be in the sponsor release field while trying to secure his PGA Tour Card. It needs one point to reach the 20s needed in the PGA Tour accelerated system. Clanton narrowly missed in his first opportunity when he missed the one -stroke cut of WM Phoenix Open earlier this month.
Cognizant will mark Clanton’s fourth PGA Tour this season. While he missed two of three cuts in 2025, he enjoyed the 15th place at Open Open Open.
Clanton, ranked 93rd in the official global golf ranking, recorded a couple of runners-up in RSM Classic and John Deer Classic last year, as well as two other top-10 tours.
He will join PGA National from the 17th Rank Russell Henley, No. 21 Billy Horchel and No. 22 Sungjae IM, who also committed themselves to the event on Monday.
Henley, who won the PGA National in the playoff in 2014, will make his 11th start in the event. IM is also a former champion, claiming that his maiden victory on PGA Tour in 2020
Horschel has been regular in PGA National since participating in the University of Florida. He has five top-20 graduations in 12 previous starts in the tournament, with his best result being a fourth equality in 2017.
