Lubbock, Texas (KCBD) – This afternoon, a low layer layer goes north in our region. This cloud cover should reach the area of Lubbock later this afternoon, if it is not the latest early evening.
As a result of this cloud cover, temperatures tonight will not be so cold, with low levels in the 1920s and mid-30s. Along with the cloud cover, the southwest winds between 5 and 10 miles / h, the potential for fog stains also exists. Between the hours of 3 o’clock in the morning and 9am it will be the most likely time for these conditions and some areas may experience freezing fog mixed for freezing temperatures.
Tuesday afternoon will remain cloudy. With cloudy sky throughout the region, the maximums will remain in the 40th and 50s with light, variable winds. Rainfall is not expected on Tuesday afternoon and our earliest chances of rain remain on Tuesday night or after midnight on Wednesday as disturbances arrive at the upper level.
The chances of rain and light rain start as early as Tuesday night, Wednesday, and then potentially early on Thursday morning. Things should be dry until Friday, and then warm and dry conditions will continue over the weekend.
