The school areas of Mercer County have begun to call for closing and delayed openings for Wednesday due to snow from a winter storm that is expected to hit the state overnight.
Winter storm warnings and advisers were issued to 10 counties in the southern half of New Jersey, which are expected to get the most snow from this storm with a possible 4 to 8 inches in some places.
This is the first of the two storms in the forecast for the next few days.
Another quick storm is expected on Wednesday night on Thursday to drop 1 to 3 inches of snow across the northern part of the state, along with a dangerous ice coverage in a larger area.
