Some schools in northern Texas slow down their day on Wednesday due to dangerously cold temperatures.
Several outdoor events have been canceled or moved because of the cold.
Fort Worth Isd
Fort Worth is the first major school area to announce on Tuesday afternoon that all schools would work on a regular schedule on Wednesday.
“After consulting the National Meteorological Service and watching the rainfall, we continue with regular hours for both schools and offices,” the press release said. “However, families need to prepare for cold morning temperatures. To ensure that students remain comfortable throughout the day, we encourage parents and guardians to make their children dress in warm layers.”
Dallas isd
It took Dallas until Tuesday night before announcing that he would also run hours on a regular schedule on Wednesday.
The buses will also move on their normal schedule.
The area encouraged all students to contact many layers.
