Clark marks 18 and VCU provides 80-72 win against George Washington – NBC Sports

Jack Clark’s Washington-18s helped VCU beat George Washington 80-72 on Wednesday night.

Clark added nine ram fights (20-5, 10-2 Atlantic 10 Conference). Zeb Jackson fired 3 of 5 of the pitch, including 3 for 3 of a 3-point range, and went 6 for 7 of the line to add 15 points. Joe Bamizil fired 5 for 13, including 2 for 7 beyond the arc to finish with 14 points.

The revolutionaries (16-9, 5-7) were led in scoring by Trey Djo, which ended with 23 points and two thefts. George Washington also received 20 points, four assists and three thefts from Rafael Castro.

Clark scored 10 points in the first half and VCU entered the half, behind 36-35. VCU has turned an advantage of the second half into two points in a nine-point lead with 7-0 run to make 60-51 with 9:42 remains at halftime. Jackson scored 13 points from the second half in victory.
