Clarington distinguishes Hamlin Grange with the mayor’s challenge coin – Durham Post

Mayor of Clarington Mayor was introduced to the resident Hamlin Grange as part of the celebrations of the month of black history to recognize the contribution and heritage of the Black Community in Clarkington.

“It is appropriate that we honor Hamlin Grange, whose pioneering work in diversity and inclusion has had a profound impact. It is a great pleasure to present the mayor of Clarmington Mayor Hamlin Grandja for his dedication to promote diversity, justice and inclusion, “said Mayor Adrian Foster.

“As the founder of a leading consulting activity for diversity, co-founder of a respected non-profit organization and a former journalist and mentor, Mr GRANGE passionately supports social justice. G -n GRANGE has received numerous awards, including invested in the Order of Canada, acknowledging its exceptional contribution to our nation, “the mayor continued.

According to the mayor’s cabinet, the mayor’s challenge coin is a symbol of appreciation and gratitude from the mayor of residents who have influenced the community. The recipients are residents of Clarkington who have contributed to the community in ways such as volunteering, raising funds, organization, training or advocacy.
