Chesapeake Pe Award awarded a Guard of the Year Passing Award – Yahoo

Chesapeake, Washington (wavy) – Wednesday brands for crossing the day of evaluation – and a man from the Deep Creek Central Elementary School won the cross -guard of the year!

The award is awarded annually by the Ministry of Transport Virginia. This year’s winner is Matthew Barker, who has been working as a PE teacher at school for the last seven years.

Barker is also an advisor to the AAA Safety Program at the school. With a team of safety patrols, Barker brings students to school safely.

10 on your side was there when Barker received his prize, where he described how he felt.

“I feel fantastic,” Barker said. “Surprised, in ecstasy, there are not many words – there are so many words that I could use to explain the honor I received for the obligation that I was doing extra at the top of the work I already have.”

At the top of the intersection award, Barker was also named teacher of the year!
