Chesapeake Life Center New Workshops focus on wellness and creativity for lattice and care – Southern Maryland News Net

The Chesapeake Life Center offers many creative seminars to help adults find a way to healing from loss. From drawing attention there are options for care and care. Here are some of the events planned for this season.

  • Awaiting and ambiguous grief in the care of dementia – This free seminar is intended to support the patients of dementia and family members in understanding and manage the complex emotions associated with predicting and ambiguous grief. Care, they often have grief long before the death of a loved one because of the progressive nature of dementia. The expectant grief involves a complaint about the loss of the cognitive and physical abilities of a loved one, while ambiguous grief arises from the uncertainty of the lost and what remains in the relationship. It will be held from 5pm to 7pm on Tuesday, April 1, on the campus of John and Katie Belcher, 90 Richie highways, Pasadena, Maryland.
  • Creating Hope: Therapeutic Exercises for Art in Grief – Creating can help us express things that we have no words to, find more about ourselves, and extract beauty through our grief. In every session, people will participate in a therapeutic art project to help personal work and connect with each other. This workshop is open to teens and adults. Deliveries are provided. No art skills are required. It will be held from 1 to 2:30 pm Saturday, April 5, May 3 and June 14 at the Center for Hope and Healing of Burnet, 4559 Six Road, Prince Frederick, Maryland. The price is $ 10 per session.
  • Parent Loss Workshop – This seminar provides space for those who grieve for the loss of a parent to gather to feel supported in their grief. Join others for time of sharing and reflection. The group will meet from 11am to 1pm Saturday, April 5, at the offices of the center of Chesapij Life at 9500 Medical Center Drive, Suite 250, Largo, Maryland. The price is $ 10.
  • Monday morning care – Start your week with intention and clarity with this morning session. Whether you are new to consciousness or have a well -established practice, this session offers guidance meditation, gentle breathing and reflecting prompts to help you focus on the upcoming week. It will be held at 8:30 am on Monday, April 7, May 5 and June 2, at the Center for Hope and Healing in the campus of John and Katie Belcher, 90 Richie Highway, Pasadena. This is a free program.
  • Suicide maintenance seminar – This seminar will provide a supportive environment for the processing of loss and developing strategies to deal with those who have lost a loved one from suicide. It will be held from 6am to 7:30 pm Monday, April 28, on the campus of John and Katie Belcher, 90 Richie Highway, Pasadena. The price is $ 10.
  • Careful Art – Let’s have fun with the brilliant Blob family! – Relieve stress and let your work flow with this workshop where you will touch the strength, instincts, courage and imagination. A simple watercolor and marker project focuses on the process, not perfection. The more we practice creativity, the more we allow ourselves to release and get rid of judgment, rules and fear. There is no wrong in art – just fun, an expression and a deeper connection with your inner self. It will be held from 18 to 8pm Wednesday, May 14, at the Center for Hope and Healing in the campus of John and Katie Belcher, highway 90 Richie, Pasadena. The price is $ 10.
  • Mother’s Day sipped and paints a wellness workshop – Join the Cheesapeake Life Center team for an event where participants paint while enjoying drinks and socializes. This is a fun way to celebrate and honor your mom by creating a unique picture! It will be held from 11am to 1pm Saturday, May 17, on the campus of John and Katie Belcher, 90 Richie Highway, Pasadena. The price is $ 10.
