In the police station, Kerr became “violent and offended” to PC Lovell, calling him “F ****** stupid and white.”

The hearing returned the sentence, which was not guilty on Tuesday after discussing about four hours and 17 minutes in the Kingston Crown court of the previous day.

Judge Peter Laoder CS said after the verdict: “I take the opinion that her own behavior has contributed significantly to raising this claim.

“I’m not going behind the jury’s sentence, but this has a significant attitude to the cost issue.”

Kerr did not show emotion during reading the sentence, but gave his fingers to his lawyer Grace Forbes after the judge left.

During the trial, the court heard how Kerr accepted later, calling PC Lovell “stupid and white” during a heated exchange, but denied that it was the fee.

She said she regretted the way she was expressed, but added, “I feel the message is still appropriate.”

She denied using “whiteness as an insult” and claimed: “I believed that he was using his power and privilege over me because he accused me of being something I was not… I tried to express this because of the power and privilege they had, We would never have to understand what we had just passed through and the fear we were experiencing for our lives. “

Asked if he said PC Lovell was “stupid because he’s white,” Kerr replied, “No.”

Kerr and Mewis told the court how they felt “rejected” by PC Lovell after explaining how they were “caught” in the back of a taxi and “held against our will”.

Mewis broke the back window of the taxi before the couple got out of the vehicle parked near the Tuikonham police station.

At the Kerr station, her partner and a computer, the Lovel came into an exchange described in court as a “heated argument”, and Kerr told police that “this is a racial thing on ******”.

She said to the jury: “I believed they treated me differently because of what they thought of as the color of my skin – especially the behavior of PC Lovell.

“The way he accused me of lying to me, and later arrested me for criminal damage, although Christie said it was only her (who breaks the taxi window).

“At that time, I thought they were trying to put it on me.”

Initially, the Crown Prosecutor’s Office decided not to blame Kerr, the court heard.

It can now be reported that Kerr’s legal team has tried to discard the case of a preliminary hearing, claiming that there was an abuse of a process by the crown prosecutor’s office.

Speaking during the hearing on January 14, Kerce Forbes lawyer said CPS had violated his own directions, adding that the “door” in the victim’s right was used to justify the prosecution procedures after the alleged crime S

During the test, it was placed on PC Lovell that he provided only a statement claiming that Kerr’s comments had caused anxiety or harassment after that decision.

In his first statement to the CPS officer, the officer did not mention the comment “Stupid and White” that influenced him, the jurors told the jurors.

Police have applied for a review of the CPS decision not to pursue, and she replied that the result would be limited to an apology, the court heard.

Later, prosecutors requested additional evidence and in December 2023 a second statement was provided by PC Lovell, mentioning the alleged impact.

He read a section of the statement before the court, which said the comments make him “shocked, upset and (left me) to feel humiliated.”

The prosecution was allowed later in December 2023, nearly a year after the incident.

Forbes told PC Lovell during a cross questioning: “You were determined to chase this person, right?”

PC Lovell said yes and Forbes asked, “Through the penalty courts?”

The officer replied “Yes.”
