The last weekend of the boys who are swimming ended with the national championship, while the final state tickets were struck in a regional struggle. Dayne Johnson, Silver Lake Basketball: Junior was honored in the war of 24 rivalry against Rosville. Johnson scored 31 points, helping the Eagles win 66-63.
Simon Rowley, Washburn’s Rural Basketball: The youth scored 18 points in the victory of the junior blues 65-39 over Emporia. He scored 16 of his points in the first half.
Wednesday, February 19
Jaret Sanchez, Shawnee Heights Basketball: One of the best players in the city continues to find success. He scored a game of high games and ended with eight fights in the 61-54 victory against Basehor-Linwood.
Thursday, February 20
Ben Raider, Cair Paravel Basketball: Rodner had a fantastic senior day, scoring 21 points in the Cair Paravel 76-40 game against Athison County.
Friday, February 21st
Jakoby McDonnell, Rossville Basketball: A junior guard scored with 20 points as Rosville won a close 63-61 victory against Riley County.
Jacorey Robinson, Highland Park Basketball: The senior had a game of 30 points in the easy win of the Highland Park 95-53 against Sumner Academy.
Jaret Sanchez, Shawnee Heights Basketball: The senior scored the highest 31 points, as Shawnee Heights beat Turner 85-33 for the 600th victory in the career of chief coach Ken Darting.
Saturday, February 22
Kayden Clelland, Silver Lake Wrestling: Cleland compiled a strong performance in the Class 4A regional championship, winning the 165-pound weight.
Jude Crenz, Hayden Borb: Junior won the 4a Class Regional Championship in the 175-pound weight, as he qualified for the state tournament with his record of the season of 38-0.
Kristan Marshall, Rural Wrestling in Washburn: Marshall was one of the three junior blues that won his weighting class in the 6A class regional championship in Garden City. Marshall dominated the 157 -pound division and was prepared to defend its state title from before the season.
Jamon Wilson, Highland Park Basketball: The senior dumped 10 assists while he led the Scots crime to a major victory by 63-35 above the Foe Atchison conference.

Kailin Hani from Silver Lake helped the Eagles to defeat Rosville by 58-20 on Monday night. Hannah spoke after the victory of the “eagles” in the war of 24 games.

KARYS DEITER, SILVER LAKE BASKETBALL: The freshman was the brand, scoring a 19-point match in the Eagles victory 58-20 over Rosville.
Ahsieyrhuajh Rayton, Topeka High Basketball: The sophomor fell 24 points to give the Trojans a win 76-23 over Junction City.
Madi Wicker, Washburn’s Rural Basketball: It was another big game for a sophomore, scoring 17 points in the team win by 64-22 over Emporia.

KK Emmot, Basketball Shawnee Heights: The sophomor led the team in a 22-point rating as Thunderbirds beat Basehor-Linwood 53-48.

Friday, February 21st
Anna Becker, Sailor Basketball: The signing university in Drake was on fire, scoring 25 points in the team win by 61-32 against Basehor-Linwood.
Nora Burdik, Basketball Rosville: The sophomor returned from an injury and scored 14 points in the victory of Buldaggs 43-38 against Riley County.
Pearmella Carter, Highland Park Basketball: The sophomor helped the Scots win a 57-38 win over Sumner Academy as she scored 16 points.
Hayden’s Mili Ramsay, Hayden Basketball: The senior scored a 17-point game as Hayden defeated Washburn Rural 42-33. Wildcats finished the season, which transferred over junior blues as they won the Centennial League title.
Reianna Vega, Basketball Shawnee Heights: The attacker scored the match with a height of 16 points in the Thunderbirds 56-12 victory over Turner.
