For the past 68 years, the Charity Ball Association has been dedicated to supporting numerous charitable organizations in the Baton Rouge area. The Charity Ball has contributed over $500,000 to various initiatives that make a significant difference to the local community. This year’s recipient is the Association of Special Advocates (CASA), whose mission is assigned to the timely placement of children in permanent, safe, and stable homes. CASA recruits, screens, trains and supervises community volunteers to serve as advocates for abused and neglected children.
This year’s Ball Benevolent Association Board included President Linnell Ruckert; Vice President Shelton Jones; Ball Chairmen Kim Gilley and Sarah Heroman; Ball Production, Katie Goodson and Brooke Staley; and debutantes Rachel Dansky and Courtney Newbill.
