County San Bernardino, California. – Tuesday, February 4, is a day of transit capital, a day to promote affordable, affordable and sustainable transit options for all. The Transport Authority of San Bernardino District (SBCTA) and transit agencies from all over the region will celebrate with free passenger vehicles throughout the county and travel with water!
An event at the Transit Center of San Bernardino from 7 to 10 am. Everyone is invited to attend and learn how to use the many transit services that make up the regional network to travel through our region.
On the day of transit capital – February 4, celebrated on Rosa Park’s birthday – all will ride free of charge in San Bernardino County on bus routes and train lines operated by:
- Metrolink
- Omnitran
- Victor Valley Transit Authority (VVTA)
- Mountain transit
- Pool transit
- Transit of the needle area
Free rides and the event are sponsored by SBCTA. SBCTA President Ray Marquez says: “This holiday holiday is part of SBCTA Happy’s ride! A campaign that works to use transit a positive and easy experience for everyone in San Bernardino County and outside. The campaign encourages riders to be safe, to be respectful and to be nice so that transit customers and employees can drive happy! “
During the event, SBCTA, Omnitrans and VVTA members will be aboard buses to see what is happy! is everything. And throughout the campaign, transit riders will be encouraged to share positive stories of a chance to win prizes.
The transit center of San Bernardino is managed by Omnitrans. Executive Director Erin Rogers notes: “The transit center is not only for Omnitrans, but also for six other bus and train systems that provide destination service in the cities of San Bernardino, Riverside and Los Angeles. During the ride happy! An event, many of these agencies will have personal displays to help riders find all the places they can switch to public transport. “
VVTA is one of the regional transit systems that serves the transit center of San Bernardino, connecting passengers from Victor Valley and Barstow to the bigger network.
