Rougeans Baton can celebrate their unity with the bad romance of Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra: Anti-Valentine’s Day concert, February 12 and 13, in the planetarium of Irene W. Planetarium of the Louisiana and Science Museum.

The performances are part of the new BRSO concerts in the Cosmos series, which launched last month with Life on Mars: The Music of David Bowie. The shows present talent from BRSO and visualizations from the planetarium dome to create a unique, multisensory experience, thematically around the anti-valentine day of the day.

“Our former iteration of Valentine’s concerts) was our series of candles,” says Rebecca Smith, director of BRSO for marketing and ammunition commitment. “Years ago, we did some of these concerts with a topic on Valentine’s Date, but we didn’t notice that they were too popular.”

When it came time to brainstorming ideas for the February concerts in the events of Cosmos, Smith says that BRSO employees had the idea of ​​”turning all the love of love on their head.”

“We loved the idea of ​​this concert to be a Galentin holiday or a fun night of friends, “Smith says. “But whether you are taken or unmarried, we will be glad to have you for great music.“

In the true spirit of Valentine’s Day, the concerts of bad romantics will present a set list of iconic songs for breakup, palpitations and self-government-all made by Nick Sirando on the guitar, Rachel Sirando of Flute and Latiisa Hamilton Ernest on the guitar and vocals.

“These musicians are extremely talented and we are so excited about them to show their huge talents,” Smith says.

Expect to hear hits like “someone like you” by Adele, Aretha Franklin’s “Respect” (emblematic) and “bad romance” by Lady Gaga (of course). The concerts will last about an hour each, and drinks and several light bites will be available.
