CCPD arrests a suspect in a string from Wilmington Arsoni island – WTOC

Savannah, GA. (WTOC) – Chatham County Police Department (CCPD) has arrested and charged a suspect in a series of Arsoni that has arisen in the Wilmington Islands in recent months. You can find our previous reflection of these fires here and here.

Late Wednesday, CCPD arrested 17 -year -old Nicholas Holbrook from Wilmington Island.

Holbrook has been charged with numerous planning 1st degree, grade 3, aggravated attack, burglary and criminal damage in connection with seven separate arsons that occurred between the end of November 2024 to January 2025.

Holbrook was charged in connection with Arsoni, which happened in the following places:

• November 20, 2024 – 200 block on Johnny Mercer Boulevard

• November 30, 2024 – 400 block of N. Cromwell Road

• December 9, 2024 – 400 block of N. Cromwell Road

• December 29, 2024 – 20 block on Island Creek tape

• January 18, 2025 – Bluff Bluff Bull (Wild Fire)

• January 27, 2025 – 90 block on the War of W.

• January 27, 2025 – 100 block on the War of W.

In addition, Holbrook is accused of burglary, which happened in a business in 400 block on Johnny Mercer Boulevard on January 22, 2025.

Holbrook was transported to Chatham County Center after his arrest.

The investigation of these Arsoni continues.
