CBP occupies nearly $ 500,000 cocaine in the port of Laredo, two arrested – KGNS

Laredo, Texas (KGNS) – US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers at the port of Larendo’s entrance seized cocaine worth nearly $ 500,000 this weekend.

The seizure took place on Friday, February 7, on the Juarez-Lincoln Bridge. A CBP employee indicated Honda CR-V 2020 for a second check. During the search, employees used dogs and CBP equipment to find 15 packets of cocaine hidden in the vehicle.

Cocaine had an estimated value of $ 498,940. CBP has taken the drugs and the car. Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) arrested the driver, a 70-year-old Mexican and a 49-year-old Mexican who was a passenger. A criminal investigation is now underway.
