Cavetown performs at Iron City Birmingham November 8 – AOL

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Birmingham’s Iron City will host a performance by singer-songwriter Cavetown next month as part of his upcoming tour.

The show starts at 8pm on November 8, with tickets still available on TicketMaster. Frankie Cosmos is scheduled to be the special guest opener.

Robin Skinner began releasing his music under the Cavetown moniker in 2013, gaining over two million YouTube subscribers and 250 million Spotify plays.

In 2015, Skinner gained widespread popularity with his debut single “This Is Home”, which was re-released simply as “Home” with updated acoustics four years later. His most famous songs include “Devil Town”, “Boys Will Be Bugs” and “Lemon Boy”.

His latest album worm food was released on November 4, 2022, featuring a dive into Skinner’s most vulnerable emotions of mental health, love and self-doubt.

“It’s a weird dynamic because a lot of the time I’m taking something that I have a hard time admitting even to myself, and then I’m putting it into a song and sharing it with the world,” Skinner said in a press release with Wasserman Music.

Skinner has also collaborated with other independent artists such as Orla Gartland, Chloe Moriondo and Beabadooby, and has been involved in producing music for Tessa Violet and mxmtoon.
