Catholic Charity Diocese of Baton Rouge, in need of Christmas gifts donations – AOL

Baton Rouge, La. (BRPRoud) – Since Christmas is just around the corner, Baton Rouge’s Catholic Charity Diocese has one week to get over 150 families sponsored for their Christmas program in the Community.

The program supports about 500 families who need Christmas gifts during the holiday season every year. Stephanie Sterling, CEO of the Catholic Diocese of Baton Rouge, emphasizes that any type of donation will matter.

“We really don’t want to call the families and tell them, you know, they won’t have Christmas this year. Their children will not have gifts under the tree and it will be, you know, the blessing of someone else, if they donated even a little, “Sterling said.

The elements are as simple as everyday needs, toiletries, bicycles for children and more. Money donations are also welcome and will be used to buy gift cards for families.

“Our families have lists of website wishes and most of the time the desire list consists of basic needs, such as sheets or towels or bicycles for children. Many times his main needs and some families do not want extravagant gifts, “Sterling said.
