RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – Two Moore Books, a Carson City-based writing, publishing and podcasting company, is pleased and honored to announce that co-founder and co-owner, Cassidy Carson, is the recipient of the 2024 Women in Podcasting Award in the Authors and Books category.
In partnership with husband and fellow author, JT Hume, their podcast “CC and JT Amateur Hour” is recorded from their home in Carson City. As self-published authors, their podcast’s mission is to “help writers write.”
Carson and Hume stopped by Morning Break to share what their podcast is all about and what the recognition means to them.
In nearly 200 episodes since its inception, The Amateur Hour has covered all aspects of freelance writing and publishing, from simple tasks like grammar and formatting to complex tasks like marketing and meeting fans.
The Women in Podcasting Network is a collaborative movement where members inspire and encourage each other. It’s the largest collective of female podcasters in the world.
The Women in Podcasting Awards is an international people-chosen awards event. The award’s mission is to elevate the voices of women globally and in the podcasting industry.
Two Moore Books was founded during the pandemic by co-owners Cassidy Carson and JT Hume as a platform for their self-published books on Amazon, Barnes & Noble and other international bookstores. It has grown to include an award-winning weekly podcast dedicated to the craft of writing and the self-publishing process.
