In addition to the illumination of candles in memory of Nevadani who have lost their lives in Washo County while they are homeless, some of the elements, religious leaders, plan to offer prayers in their relevant traditions in English, Spanish, Arabic and Sanskrit from the sign of the sign of Belief.

This is a solemn service for commemoration, which will read the names of homeless people who died in 2024 in Washoe County. This is the fifth such service, and this centuries -old group of religious leaders plans to continue this vigil in candles as an annual characteristic if these prevented deaths of homeless continue to happen.

There are too many people who get through the cracks in the system. Our moral responsibility is to take care of people in need. Everyone is sacred and all the traditions of faith agree to the dignity of people. “

Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, who is also one of the coordinators of this event, says: “Every life has value. Human beings, dying among us because of the lack of basic needs, should not be acceptable as a community. Coordinated efforts are needed to protect life; And saving life must be the highest priority of different programs. “

This is a vigil of commemoration. Religious leaders believe that if we don’t remember them, who else would?
