Can USC Trojans land four -star Dylan Berimon over Texas Longhorns, LSU Tigers? – Sports Illustrated

USC Trojans made a four -star defense class of 2026 Dylan Berimon. While Berimon devotes his time with his decision, the four-star rookie released his best schools featuring USC.

According to the ON3 industry, Berimon is the number 233 in the nation, Lounge Liner No. 23 and player # 7 from Louisiana. The 2026 class recruitment spent its time with its decision, but narrowed it to ten schools. In addition to USC, Berimon is interested in Texas, Texas A&M, Houston, LSU, Arkansas, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Purdue and Texas Tech.

Berimon spoke to On3 about his best schools, his next steps and when he plans to make his final decision.

“It is really about a mix between how these schools are recruiting me and the relationships I have with the coaches in these schools. These were the most important things to me when I made this list, “Berimon said.

USC Defense Defense Coach Eric Henderson is a large part of Berimon’s recruitment. The USC coach has hired several large players on the ball side of the ball, as a five -star defense liner from 2025 Jacher Stewart. Berimon and Henderson are also the locals of Louisiana who lure the recruitment.

“He is from Louisiana, he knows how the players from Louisiana are,” Berimon told the ON3. “He’s a good coach.”

Having a connection with the coaches is a big factor in Berimon’s final decision. Between Henderson, the defense coordinator D’anthon Lynn and USC coach Lincoln Riley, creating a connection with Berimon will be crucial in their efforts to land Berimon.

“Then I will look at the coaches and see where I can go play. I want to play for a coach who is like a father’s figure. I want to have similar relationships where I never want to go to the transfer portal. My degree is also important, “Berimon said.

Berimon has not yet visited Arkansas, Houston and Texas Tech. The four -star rookie visited USC twice in the fall, October 12 and November 16. Both were unofficial visits.

“I want to make some visits in the spring, then just before the summer I reduced my list to four schools, plan formal visits with these four, and make my decision,” Berimon said. “I will commit to one of these schools in the summer.”

The Trojans hosted several recruits on Saturday for their junior day event, including many five -star players. The Trojans have the class of No. 2 of 2026. Recruitment, only behind the current ducks in Oregon. The Trojans have already been committed to the four -star protective liner Bryiden Jones, and Berimon will be a big addition to the already arranged dialing class.
