A 22-year-old Long Beach Marine, who was just promoted to Sergeant, was identified as one of the four people killed in a plane crash over the Philippines last week, military officials said on Sunday, February 9th.

SGT. Jacob M. Durham, who was an electromagnetic war analyst and served with the first radio battalion at the Pendallton Camp, flew a routine mission to support US-philipin security activities, staff from 1st Maritime Expeditionary Power said.

Durham joined the Marine Corps in January 2021 and has just been promoted to his current rank on February 1st.
