As the Big 12 schedule moves into November, there is some separation at the top with Brigham Young and Iowa State still undefeated, Kansas State and Colorado with one conference loss and then everyone else. The top four are unchanged from last week, and three of the top five are inactive this week.
Here are the latest power rankings.
1. Brigham Young (8-0, 5-0 Big 12)

2. Kansas State (7-1, 4-1)

What you need to know: Among the four Big 12 teams with one or fewer conference losses, K-State is the only one to play each of the others – and all on the road, with a loss at BYU, a win at Colorado and the regular-season finale at Iowa State.
3. Iowa State (7-0, 4-0)
Last week: 3
This week: Texas Tech
What you need to know: Good chance the Cyclones will be 11-0 on Thanksgiving weekend against Kansas State.
4. Colorado (6-2, 4-1)
Last week: 4
This week: idling
What you need to know: Recently injured Travis Hunter comes off the athletic trainers’ table and has nine catches, 153 yards, two touchdowns and four passes defensed in a win over Cincinnati.
5. West Virginia (4-4, 3-2)
Last week: 8
This week: idling
What you need to know: Of the five Big 12 teams with two conference losses, West Virginia has played the toughest schedule, so the Mountaineers go ahead.
6. Baylor (4-4, 2-3)
Last week: 9
This week: TCU
What you need to know: Imagine spending the money to land Dequan Finn while Sawyer Robertson sat there as a quality option the entire time.
7. Texas Tech (5-3, 3-2)
Last week: 5
This week: in the state of Iowa
What you need to know: Tech punter Reese Burkhardt highlighted his fake touchdown with a politically-approved field goal. Then he missed a 50-yarder in the Red Raiders’ 35-34 loss at TCU.

8. Cincinnati (5-3, 3-2)

What you need to know: Go to Colorado and you get not only the Buffaloes, but celebrity fan Bill Goldberg, wrestling icon and father of a CU player.

9. Arizona State (5-2, 2-2)

This week: in Oklahoma State
What you need to know: Two good chances to make a bowl appearance with Oklahoma State and UCF next.
10. TCU (5-3, 3-2)
Last week: 10
This week: at Baylor
What you need to know: Texas Tech-TCU’s travel trophy is The Saddle. Winning it five times in six years, the Horned Frogs became a chasm under the saddle of the Red Raiders.
11. Kansas (2-6, 1-4)

What you need to know: Remember two weeks ago when we said the Jayhawks woke up Sunday dreaming of losing another close game? They were dreaming of losing their 16th straight game to K-State.

What you need to know: The Wildcats went into October and, sure enough, fell on a fake field goal.

What you need to know: Changing offensive coordinators in the middle may have pleased the disgruntled, but it didn’t lead to better results.

What you need to know: I’ve always cautioned against writing off a Mike Gundy team prematurely if it hits a bad note in September. This year, come on.
