The upcoming seven-seater SUVs in seven places, QS, was discovered in Australian homologations before its official launch date later this year.
The new model will be available in two-wheel drive and all-wheel drive when landed in Australia this year, and both will be powered by the same 2.0-liter built-in four-cylinder turbo-pertoline engine that produces 153kW by nine -speed automatic transmission.
The dimensions are cited at 4983 mm, width 1967 mm, height 1778 mm with a wheelbase of 2915 mm. The ground clearance is quoted at 180 mm.
This makes it a little bigger than the Toyota Kluger (except for height), while conveniently exceeds the Hyundai Santa Fe and Kia Sorento in all measurements.
Two wheels are also listed in 20 and 21 inches.
In terms of design, QS reflects its SAIC motor on which it is based on the REWE RX9, but with its own front and rear MG badge.
We still don’t know what the interior will look like, but it is assumed that QS uses a slightly different approach to RX9.
Double 12.3-inch multimedia and driving display screens are expected, as offered on MG RX9 sold in the Middle East, opposes the three-storey setting offered on ROEWE RX9 in China.
The accents of the equipment are expected to include leather seats, panoramic Luke, Bose audio with 12 speakers, driver memory functions, trisone climate control, surround views and an exhaustive set of assisted driver safety systems.
We do not yet know when QS will land in Australia, but is expected to arrive before mid -year. The hybrid version of the plugin is expected to follow gasoline variants later in the year, as was the case with modernized HS.
