Bucky Irving’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers status upgraded ahead of Falcons game – Sports Illustrated

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have perhaps the biggest game of their season coming up on Sunday when they get a rematch against the Atlanta Falcons, who beat them just a few weeks prior in a game the Buccaneers should have won. They didn’t, and now they’ll be looking for revenge while falling short by several positions.

We previously reported that Buccaneers fourth-round pick Bucky Irving was expected to miss Sunday’s game with the Falcons with a toe injury, but it appears there is a new development as Irving was seen at practice on Friday and Sr. trainer Todd Bowles confirmed that the electrifying back will indeed be available for the race, barring any setbacks.

Irving has been a bright spot for the Bucks this season after the group has struggled over the past few seasons. He benefited from better blocking than Rachaad White and rushed a total of 67 times for 351 yards and three scores, adding 124 more yards through the air on 13 receptions.

Irving’s emergence has been widely hailed in Tampa Bay, and his abilities will likely be needed to help continue the three-headed monster the Bucks boast to make up for the absence of Chris Godwin and Mike Evans against the Falcons.
