Bucky Irving injury: questionable but likely to play – RotoWire

Irving (finger) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Falcons, but Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles said the running back is likely to play Week 8, Fox Sports’ Greg Aumann reports.

After being listed as a non-participant in the practice reports released Wednesday and Thursday, Irving helped alleviate some of the concerns about his health by practicing Friday as a limited participant. Bowles also allayed some more fears about Irving’s injury, noting that the rookie isn’t dealing with grass and should be ready for Sunday “unless something happens.” Official word on his status should come when Tampa Bay releases its 90-minute inactive list before Sunday’s kickoff at 1 p.m. ET, but even if Irving is eligible, he will likely end up as part of a three-man backfield committee with Rachaad White and Sean Tucker. The stacking can cause the fantasy value of all three backs to be suppressed.
