BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – The Baton Rouge Police Department has arrested a man accused of drug trafficking.
According to BRPD, law enforcement arrested Richie Brown, 25, on Wednesday, Oct. 23, on the following charges: distribution of marijuana, distribution of MDMA, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, illegal carrying of a firearm with CDS, drug possession and illegal use of CDS in the presence of a minor.
Police said Brown was taken into custody while detectives and ATF agents executed a search warrant at an apartment on Money Drive in Baton Rouge.
Detectives and ATF agents have reportedly been investigating the suspect since September for alleged drug and firearms trafficking.
Officials said they seized several items while searching the apartment, including a Glock .40 caliber handgun, a digital scale and other drug paraphernalia, multiple bags of marijuana totaling about 430 grams and eight doses of MDMA.
Brown has been arrested seven times on charges ranging from drugs to robbery, according to police.
