Gamma Rho’s head at Florida State University of the Teta Chi Brotherhood has been terminated and an investigation is being conducted.
The investigation and the recent suspension are coming as videos of alleged quarrels between brotherhood members and other persons near the campus are distributed on social media over the weekend. These include a recent Avenue’s college dispute and years of age in which men were seen to be thrown at each other before being broken by law enforcement agencies.
Officials did not answer questions about what led to the suspension.
“Gamma Rho’s head at Florida State University was placed on an intermediate stop by the Teta Chi Brotherhood, while the investigation is being conducted in suspected violations of brotherhood policy,” the Teta Brotherhood’s International Staff headquarters on Tuesday night said.
“The members of Theta Chi employees are in contact with the administrators of the Florida State University and will take appropriate action based on the results of the investigation.”
No other details were released.
