After a trembling performance from the first half, the second half of John Broome Wils Wills # 1 Auburn along the LSU to remain unbeaten in the conference game and to provide a draw for the best start to the 20th record with a record of 19-1.
Broome came out of the tunnel slowly, firing 3-for-13 in the first half with a pair of speed. While Miles Kelly and Chad Baker-Mazara provided an awarded 12-point lead, the tigers needed their star as LSU continued to close the precipice at the point and return to the game.
Bruom’s performance was indeed a tale of two halves, as he broke out after the break, scoring 20 points in the second half and paired with 7 struggles.
When asked about Bruom’s presentation in the second half, coach Bruce Pearl replied, “John was again dominant, just dominant.”

Despite the high praise of Bruom for the time, Pearl praised LSU’s early defense of his star Big Man, lending them for 23% Broome shooting in the first half.
“They did a good job early … They’re really athletic, they’re really fast, they’re really explosive,” Pearl said.
While the performance of 26 points per Bruom was a critical factor in the victory of Obun, his 11 offensive struggles could be credited as the creator of the difference in this match. Since Broome an average of 10.9 struggles per game, he cleared his average for the season on one side of the ball, allowing the second chance of players such as Tahaad Petiford and Denver Jones to take advantage.
Broome has collected his 11th 20-point performance against Bayou Bengals, as well as his 11th double double for the season in the 12th Quad-One for the Road Tigers season.
Auburn directs its focus to No. 23 Ole Miss as tigers continue their journey to Oxford, MS on Saturday, February 1st.
