Brenda Song and Macaulay Culkin always have each other’s backs.
On Saturday, October 19, the couple attended the star-studded Fourth Annual Academy Awards Gala at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in Los Angeles, where they coordinated in sophisticated outfits and shared a wholesome bonding moment on the red carpet.
While posing for pictures, The last show girl The 36-year-old star turned her attention to her fiance, 44, who appeared to be having wardrobe issues. In photos taken at the event, she could be seen smiling at Culkin and briefly adjusting his bow tie as he lifted his neck for easier access.

For the event, Song wore a stunning shimmery gold gown complete with a one-shoulder neckline, a belt, and a matching off-the-shoulder material piece that also served as a small train. She accessorised the outfit with dark red lip gloss, matching dark red nails, dangling silver earrings and a pair of heels which were covered by the long number she wore.
Thanks to Song’s tie-correcting efforts, Culkin could be seen wearing a black velvet jacket, a matching bow tie, and a pair of black glasses to top it all off.
Other attendees at the Academy Museum Gala this weekend included Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, Kendall Jenner, Nicole Kidman, Ayo Edebiri, Demi Moore and Coleman Domingo.

The event marked a rare public night for Culkin and Song, who previously stepped out at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival for the premiere of Song’s latest film The last show girl in September.
For the TIFF premiere at the Princess of Wales Theatre, the duo wore coordinating black looks — Song in a strappy black dress with crystal detailing, while Culkin opted for a classic black suit, black glasses and a partially unbuttoned shirt.
Song and Culkin, who a source told PEOPLE got engaged in January 2022 after more than four years of dating, have two children together: Dakota Song Culkin, 2, and another son, whom they welcomed in December 2022.
“I’m just so lucky to have wonderful support from my partner, from my family. I couldn’t do anything without them,” Song said at her latest film premiere while speaking to Canadian entertainment show Etalk. “I think my parents are watching my kids right now. None of this would be possible without a whole team of people holding me up.”
According to IMDb, Song’s latest film — directed by Gia Coppola and starring Pamela Anderson, Jamie Lee Curtis, Dave Bautista — is her first film since 2022. Love by chanceand her first screen role since her voice work on Netflix series The blue-eyed samurai in 2023
Song recently paid tribute to Culkin on Father’s Day in June, sharing a touching message on Instagram, calling him “the best dad in the world” and someone “who goes above and beyond the everyday, who is willing to do (or wears ) literally anything just to get a smile from one of his boys.”

Thank you for always being our pack mule, our cook, our garbage man, and doing all the things that keep this crazy train moving.
