Braquetology Bubble Watch: Indiana out of the field, Texas faces Georgia with both teams who want to build a summary – CBS Sports

Welcome to the debut of the Bracetology Bubble Watch 2025, the daily column ends how the Bubble teams move on the NCAA tournament and a look forward to the upcoming games, including teams near the Cut line to make the field of 68.

There are also teams that I consider to be locks for the NCAA tournament. For me, the team is only a lock if I believe it will still make the NCAA tournament, even if it has lost all other games. This is a stronger definition than it is widely used. This will be a short list in early February.

Also, this page will show “my last four in” and “first four out”, which can also be found on the Braquetology page, but will also contain the “next four outward” for the added context.

Judicial Report: Cooper Flagg vs Johni Broome become one of the best national player of the year's competitions ever

Tuesday was a day for the balloon teams.

  • Byu Lost at home from Arizona, missing the opportunity to win Quad 1 at home. The schedule is becoming more difficult for Cougars now, as four of their next six are on the way and one of the home games is against Kansas.
  • Iow It can be a short-term balloon resident after a 90-81 loss at home to fart. The loss of Owen Freeman for the season due to the injured finger makes the task of reaching the NCAA tournament even more difficult. Hawkis have lost five of their last six and can only be preferred in two of their other games.
  • Indiana This was followed by a very competitive loss to boilers last week with a loss of blow to Wisconsin. This makes six losses in seven huses and the rest of the schedule is discouraging. Indiana can only be preferred once the rest of the road.

Wednesday’s action includes the leader of the bubble conference and a “double balloon” game.

The Double Balloon game on Wednesday

Arkansas in Texas

19:00 (ESPNU)

The Double Bubble game of the night is the Arkansas, who played his way with a bubble with a win in Kentucky last week. Razorbacks may need to win some of the games in which they are shortages to find themselves on the right side of the balloon at the end.

Texas is in a better shape than pigs so far and has a relatively favorable schedule according to SEC standards down. They have three of their next four at home, but two of them are Alabama and Kentucky. These two will play again at the end of the month.

Other bubbles in action on Wednesday

UCF

vs. Cincinnati, 18:00 (CBSSN)

UCF is not so much because of 63 rankings on the web, but because they are only 3-8 against the first two quadrants. The three wins are pretty good, but they have to do more. The schedule adjusts well for them, so they need to benefit, especially at home.

Georgia

vs. LSU, 20:30 (Secn)

Bulldogs have fallen in difficult times from late, lost five of their last six. This begins a mileage of three out of four at home. If Georgia is going to make the NCAA tournament, she can’t afford to lose one of the few non-containers on SEC.

Smu

at Virginia Tech, 21:00 (ACCN)

SMU is trying to process into a league that does not offer as much chance of doing as other major conferences. Currently, Mustangs are 0-4 in Quad 1 games, with only one still left in the schedule. They have many more matches that they can’t win than they have to win. This is one of these mandatory games.

Nebraska

In Washington, 21:30 (BTN)

The Cornkers won two in a row after a losing series of six games. These victories came over Illinois and Oregon. They also have a relatively favorable remaining schedule by Big Ten standards. Nebraska must maintain his inertia against Washington.

New Mexico

vs. Colorado State, 9:30 pm (FS1)

New Mexico took first place in the mountain west with a victory in Utah on Saturday. The reason Lobos is on the balloon is a loss to Quad 3 in San Jose State and a loss of Quad 4 at home in New Mexico. The bigger part of their remaining schedule includes games that can only hurt them.

Note – All references to NCAA’s records and tendencies, based on the net ranking, exclude the 2021 tournament. Due to the shortened schedules and a relatively small number of non -conference games, these charts are not reliable enough to be taken into account.
