Every time St. Antony’s basketball team has knocked down, they stood up immediately.
It was the same Wednesday night in front of a full crowd in Jack Erion’s high school, as the saints defeated St. Paul, 66-60, on a senior night to win their eighth direct competition for the Del Ray League and to hit a share of the league title.
“This is our older night,” Donovan Pitts said. “I don’t lose, so I had to go out and win this one.”
Swords (15-11, 6-4) did not facilitate the saints as Dylan Chelsea and the company managed to work, as the first quarter ended with the two teams that were fired at 17.
In the second quarter of the elderly mothers Cortez and Donovan Pitts, they combined to bring all 13 of the saints to give the lead to St. Anthony 30-26 at halftime.
