Nevada’s men’s basketball fell on Boise State Broncos on Wednesday night at Extramile Arena, 66-56.
Nick Davidson led the package with 18 points and four fights. While Daniel Foster scored only three points, he played a key role, adding four fights and four assists, while helping to facilitate the game. Nevada ended the first half, shooting 5-on-20 from the pitch and 3-from-11 from a three-point scope.
The competition began slowly for both teams, with Nevada withstanding a four-minute point drought and Boise State, managing only one 3-indicated at that time. The package struggles to find its rhythm for evaluation, extending its land to seven minutes and allowed Broncos to tire 8-0.
Davidson ended the land of the package with a 3-indicated package, igniting Justin McBride, who followed with a 3-point jumper. However, breaking the land did not cause an offensive jump to Nevada, which fired only 25 percent of the terrain. Nevada falls to a total of 11-7 and 3-7 in the Mountain West. Boise provided a victory that they needed desperately, improving to 14-7 as a whole and 6-4 in the Mountain West. The Wolf package will return to Saturday on February 1st from 7:00 pm at the Lawlor events center to take on Unlv in the Silver State series.
