The newly established Student Liaison and Support Center will continue to provide essential services to the campus community.
BOISE, Idaho – Boise State University is opening a new student relations and support center it has been planning for months. BSU closed its Gender Equity Center and Student Action Center in the winter of 2024.
The Center for Student Relations and Support will continue to provide essential services to the campus community, including programs for first-generation students, a campus clothing closet, and violence prevention initiatives. The center also offers study spaces, lounges, a kitchenette and confidential support services at no cost.
“Thank you for the memories,” university officials said on social media, encouraging community members to share their experiences with the former centers through an online survey.
The university works to preserve the legacy of previous centers by collecting stories from students, faculty, staff and community members. These reviews will be archived in the Albertsons library and presented at a celebratory event planned for spring 2024. For more information and to share stories, click here.
The transition marks a significant change in how Boise State provides student support services, although the university maintains its commitment to serving diverse student needs through the new consolidated center.
