Bodycam video shows that the northern police shooting in Las Vegas, who killed an officer, suspect – Cold

Las Vegas, Nev. (FOX5) – North Las Vegas police shared a video of the body’s camera from the fallen officer Jason Roskov when he responded to an armed suspect.

Police conducted a briefing in the media on Wednesday morning at the shooting on February 4. It happened near Camino Al Norte and Lone Mountain Road. The suspect was identified as Alexander Matisse, 25.

The investigation revealed that Matisse had fired five rounds to Roskov with a 9 -millionth pistol. The officer would die in UMC from multiple firearms.

Roskov was armed with a 9mm pistol. He fired 16 rounds in Matisse. The suspect died from a firearm wound.

A second officer was identified during the shooting, Luis Machias-Venegas. The video camera video shows that it arrives in a patrol vehicle during the Misty View Court shootout. He shoots one circle.

Before the shooting, two calls from 911 appeared, reporting someone walking in the area with a gun, throwing rocks on car and breaking windows. The suspect is identified as Matisse.

Roskov was the first arriving officer. Matisse was at High Creek Drive, but he immediately fled north. He will jump over the backyard and later appear on the court of Misty View, where the shooting took place.

Hyde said Roskov was in uniform and turned on his lights when he gave commands to Matisse to show his hands.

“He left no doubt that the commands were coming from a police officer,” he said.

Hyde said Matisse continues to approach Roskov aggressively during the shooting. A photo from Roskov’s carved camera shows that the suspect hanged over it.

At that moment, a second officer arrived at the scene, Luis Machias-Venegas. He was armed with a 9mm pistol and fired one round to a suspect.

If Matisse survives, police said he would face the following allegations:

  • Killing a police officer
  • Weapon attack
  • Disposal of a firearm where people can be threatened
  • Attempt to lure a police officer
  • Destruction of property
  • Resistance an officer with a deadly weapon
  • Threatening

Police said in 2019 he had previous accusations that included concealment of weapons without permission, a false statement to a police officer and a small theft.

After the briefing, the police thanked the medical staff who answered.
