Body found in trash can; OC Man Arrested on Suspicion of Murder – Newport Beach, CA

COSTA MESA, Calif. – A Costa Mesa man suspected of killing his girlfriend was arrested after the victim’s body was found in a trash can outside the suspect’s home, authorities said Wednesday.

Daniel Allen Aldrich, 49, was arrested at a family member’s home in Glendale for killing his girlfriend, Julie Ann Sanetra, 38, of Irvine.

The woman was found dead shortly before 2:30 p.m. in the backyard of Aldrich’s home in the 1900 block of Maple Avenue.

Her body was found abandoned in a trash can outside the home, according to authorities.

The arrest was made with the assistance of the Glendale Police Department and the case will be turned over to the Orange County District Attorney’s Office for review, police said.
