India appeared champions in both the men’s categories and women of the KHO KHO 2025 World Cup.
Following the successful conclusion of the first of its kind KHO KHO World Cup, Kho Federation of India President, Sh. Sudhanshu Mittal has announced the place for the next edition of the tournament, revealing Birmingham as hosting the 2027 KHO World Cup.
The first edition of the Kho Kho World Cup ended on January 19, with the Indian team raising the trophy in both the men and women’s category. At the press conference after the tournament was attended by KKFI Secretary General Mrs. Tyagi, Secretary General of the KHO KHO Rohit Haldania International Federation, Mr. Virender Kumar of SACE My Trip, CEO of KKWC Vikra and Major General The World Cup Capitani- Pmitik Weikar and Priyanka Ingle.
The captains expressed their feelings and emotions of victory as they conveyed the trophy to the President and the secretary of KKFI. The coaches of the two teams, D -Sumit Bhatiya, Dr. Muni John (Women’s Team) and G -Nswani Sharma (Men’s Team) also expressed their gratitude to the Federation to organize the event and assist in the sport to win global recognition.
Turning to the press, President Sudhangshu Mital said: “KKWC 2025 was a huge success. We are glad to announce that the next KHO KHO World Cup will be held in Birmingham, England in 2026-2027. We will be more than happy to see the second edition become more than the first and exceed all expectations ”
He added: “The next session of the KHO KHO International Federation will also be held on April 17, where the strategy for the next four years will be discussed and formalized.”
While announcing the place for the next World Cup of KHO KHO, sh. Sudhanshu Mittal also revealed that various politicians and dignitaries congratulate him on the success of the World Cup.
