Birmingham man pleads guilty to unlawful possession of firearm – AOL

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — A Birmingham man pleaded guilty to unlawful possession of a firearm Wednesday, U.S. Attorney Prim Escalona announced Wednesday.

Tradaryl Rishad Boykins, 32, pleaded guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm. According to the plea agreement, on Jan. 29, a Homewood Police Department officer attempted to make a traffic stop on Boykins. Boykins then led officers on a chase from Homewood to downtown Birmingham.

1 dead and 1 injured after car hit by train in Bessemer

The pursuit ended when Boykins crashed into another vehicle at the intersection of 18th Street North and 15th Avenue North. The driver and passenger of the car were injured and taken to hospital in serious condition. Officers arrested Boykins and searched his car, finding a gun.
