Birmingham, but. (WBMA) – The city of Birmingham has announced that it has filed a lawsuit against short -term rental property.
The city said its city prosecutor was called Infinity Investments LLC, owner of 828 5th Street West, and Jabari Ayinde Mosley, which is thought to manage the property in the complaint.
The city asked the court to declare the property a public inconvenience.

The city claims that single -family home continues to experience illegal and criminal activity on multiple dates.
“We will not accept the owner of a property that exposes residents and business to a constant threat against public safety,” said city lawyer Nicole King. “When violence and drugs threaten public safety, it is important for the city to intervene to violate the activity, to keep criminals responsible and to make our neighborhoods more fascinating to residents, businesses and visitors.”
The lawsuit brought to the District Court of Jefferson District Court claims that Infinity Investments LLC and the property manager failed to check the short -term tenants of the property.
The city said it had received and identified numerous complaints about the property and had heard from residents and companies that expressed fear of their safety.
This action is part of the broader efforts of the city, led by the drug and trouble reduction team (DNAT) to keep property owners responsible for preserving their property and without crime. Residents are encouraged to report such properties of the city prosecutor’s office.
