Billionaire Scott Beshent’s investor confirmed as Minister of Finance – Boise State Public Radio

Wall Street investor Scott Beshent was confirmed as the next Senate Finance Minister on Monday.

Bestent is a wealth of hedge fund manager, which is seen as a business with a business. It was confirmed by a vote of 68 to 29, signaling a degree of bilateral support for the new Minister of Finance.

As a secretary, Beshen will be a leading vote for the Economic Policy Administration. It is expected to lead to an extension – and possibly expanding – tax reduction for 2017.

Besten will be the first open gay man to serve as Minister of Finance.
