Bernadin I. Hansen, 101, from Omaha, Nebraska, former from Murhead, Iowa died on Thursday, January 23, 2025 in Methodist Fremont Hi in Fremont, Nebraska.
The funeral service will be 10:30 am Friday, January 31, 2025 at the Christian Church Moorhead, Moorhead, Iowa, with Pastor Chuck Snow, official. The service of the service will be published on the Goslar Funeral Home website with the Bernadin obituary. The funeral will follow in the Spring Valley, Moorhead, Iowa. The visit will be one hour before the service on Friday, January 31, 2025 at the Moorhead Christian Church. The arrangements are under the guidance of the funeral home and monuments of Goslar, Onava, Iowa.
Bernadin Ione was born on September 29, 1923 in Murhead, Iowa, daughter of Elmer and Leone (Stoli) Schol. He attended a rural school and then graduated from Murhead high school with the 1941 class, Bernadin supported his education at a Business School in Omaha.
Bernadin Schol and Anton “Jul” Hansen were united in marriage on June 4, 1944 at the Christian Church of Moorhead. The couple made their home at Moorhead, where they raised their two children, natives and Ronda. Bernadin was proud to have lived in the House on the top of the hill for more than 75 years. The couple enjoyed traveling together in their 5th wheel and took the grandchildren on many vacations. They also enjoyed square dances and attended all the sports events of their grandchildren. Jul died on February 24, 2010 in Onava, Iowa.
Bernadin has been a postmaster for many years in the Murhead area. She enjoyed Quilling, went to the casino, collecting stamps and playing bass guitar in the Country Gal group. She was a member of the Christian Church of Moorhead and the Christian Society for Women.
The survivors include her grandchildren, Nicholas Nicky (Matt) Fririchs from Omaha, Nebraska, Jewel (Chad) Nikolisen from Omar, Nebraska, Mindi (Jade) Nuzum of Oil, Nebraska; Seven great -grandchildren, Emma, Sydney and Nicholas Freerichs, Chloe and Jackson Nicholas, and Jada and Noah Nuzum; brother, Robert Schol of Morhed, Iowa; Daughter -in -law, Colin Schol of Murhead, Iowa; And many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded by death by her husband Jul Hansen; son, native Hansen; daughter, Ronda (Marty) Klein; Her parents, Elmer and Leone (capture) Shol; and siblings, Ronald Schol; Howard Schol and Darlin (Deril) Bowen.
Memorials in the memory of Bernadin can be directed to the Christian Church of Murhead or the fire and the rescue of Murhead.
