Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is expected to launch talks on Monday about mediation in the second phase of a Gaza fire termination transaction, his office said when he visits the new Trump administration in Washington.

Prior to his departure, Netanyahu told reporters that he would discuss the “victory over Hamas”, challenging Iran and releasing all Israeli captives held by Hamas when he meets President Donald Trump on Tuesday.

The Israeli army also continues its military offensive on the occupied West coast for the 14th consecutive, now expanded to Tubas.

More than 25 Palestinians were killed, with dozens being injured and detained and 15,000 civilians displaced. The Israeli forces also destroyed 20 buildings in eastern Jenin, damaging parts of a Government Hospital in Jenin.

The Gaza Health Ministry revealed that the Israeli war had died at least 61 709 civilians, adding that 14 222 Palestinians had disappeared under the ruins, including over 17,000 children.
