Cincinnati – The University of Cincinnati swimming and diving teams concluded their weekend of competition on Saturday afternoon, competing at the LSU Natatorium.
LSU, the host of the meet, took home both the men’s and women’s titles, while Cincinnati finished second with 110 (men) and 101.5 (women). Full team results can be found here.
The Cincinnati Relay Team of Hunter Lost, Corban McIntosh, Levi Hansen and Owen Chiles Took second place in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:32.14. On the women’s side, the team of Kaylee Nagel, Julie RoseLindy Worrell and Sonja Aarsvold claimed victory in the 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:30.57.
Graduate student Max Murray Delivered an impressive performance, claiming second in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 9:18.33. He also earned third place in the 500-yard freestyle, finishing in 4:31.40. In the 100-yard breaststroke, jr Joleigh Crye posted a time of 1:02.84, earning her the first-place win. She went on to finish second in the 100-yard butterfly (55.70).
The Bearcats dominated the men’s 400-yard individual medley, sweeping the top three positions. Kyle Bumgardner led the pack with a winning time of 3:55.89, followed closely by Adam McCurdy (4: 06.72) and Maxim Maskalenko (4: 06.82). Women continued to do the same with Libby Michel Taking first place (4:23.48) and Maddie Reed (4: 37.02) and Annabelle Young (4:37.62) Finishing second and third respectively.
Cincinnati will wrap up the regular season by heading to Louisville on Saturday, February 1st. The events will start at 12:00 p.m.
