BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development will continue its annual public “Road Show” to District 61 or the Baton Rouge region. The Joint Committee on Transportation, Highways and Public Works is holding a legislative public hearing at 9 a.m. Wednesday morning. This will be held in the basement of the State Capitol.
The parishes that make up the Baton Rouge region are Ascension, Assumption, East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Iberville, Point Coupe, St. James, West Baton Rouge and West Feliciana.
The road show allows legislators, elected officials, DOTD representatives and the public to discuss and obtain information and details about construction projects that are in effect in the Highway Priority Program and how those specific projects will affect each area of the state.
Anyone who wishes to attend is encouraged to do so. Oral testimony may also be supplemented by factual submissions and written documentation. These writings must be given to the committee conducting the hearing.
The audience can also listen via Zoom here.
