Baton Rouge – a movement to oppose the early actions of President Donald Trump’s administration draws online, with plans to protest in the United States on Wednesday.

One of the protests happened in Baton Rouge, where several protesters wore picket signs on the steps of the state capitol.

The movement is organized under hashtags #buildTheresity and #50501, which stands for 50 protests, 50 states, one day. Many protests were planned in state capitals, like some of other cities.

Traffic has websites and accounts in social media. Flyers, distributed online Decry Project 2025, a solid right -wing US government and society, include messages such as “reject fascism” and “protect our democracy.” In a cafe only on a block from the Capitol of Michigan, the organizers of a planned action there on Wednesday pushed tables, spreading boards for posters to write messages that read “Without deportation never!” And “Workers are united!”

Kelsey Brian, a key organizer of Michigan’s rally, called him “a real effort of the main ones.” She learned about Sunday night movement and coordinates speakers and safety protocols.

“I got involved because I knew I needed and knew what I could do,” Brian said on Tuesday. “But I also want to look back at that moment and say that I did something and not just sat.”

Trump has signed a series of executive orders in the first few weeks of his new term for everything from trade and immigration to climate change. As the Democrats begin to raise their voice as a counterbalance on Trump’s agenda, the protests have also begun.

On Sunday, thousands of people went against Trump’s plan for large -scale deportations in southern California, including in the center of Los Angeles, where the protests closed a large highway for hours. A similar protest happened in Baton Rouge.
