Baseball comes to life to sweep the Sioux Falls on Sunday two -headed – Hawaii Tribune -Herald

Hilo-these were two long-awaited victories, but it was worth a wait, as the Hawai’i Hilo baseball closed its season to open the season with a two-headed Sioux Falls clean on Sunday afternoon Jimmy Balfield at Francis Vong Stadium. The volcanoes won their first victory of the season with a 15-8 victory, followed by a 15-9 victory in seven passes to close the series of five games.

Cody Min picked up six hits and three RBIs, while Noah Nakooka had seven RBIs in the two -headed on Sunday.

Hawai’i Hilo moved to 2-3 as a whole when Sioux Falls (South Dakota) went to 3-2 records.

Game 1: Sioux Falls 8, Hawai’i Hilo 15

The volcanoes killed 15 common hits, led by Mason Cook’s 4-5-round output with two pairs, RBI and three runs scored. Junior Hunter received the RBI double score at the bottom of the second. Cody Min dialed three hits and two RBI, while Noah Lane (1 RBI), Mark Fedro (four RBI) and Noah Kliko (three RBI), each had a pair of base bumps.

The volcanoes erupted for five runs at four hits in the second Innning, and later seven runs of five hits (and a Cougars error) at the bottom of the fifth.

The cougars managed to publish four tracks at each of the top of the fifth and the top of the seventh, with the last semi-inning supporting three consecutive free pass to the first base to start Inning.

Both teams of steels were combined to give up nine walks each, but Hawaii Hilo’s hands were able to help compensate for the damage with 10 penalties.

The Xaiver Pressley launches the mound, with 4.1 six penalties, but four walks and four launches. Kyle Casados, who played a middle part last season, was credited for winning 0.2 submission of to no avail work. John Navarro closed the final 2.2 of three penalties and are not allowed.

Game 2: Sioux Falls 10, Hawai’i Hilo 15 (7 Submission)

It was another battle for a marathon between the two teams, but this time it was all over seven games per game. Both teams of steels were combined to give up 21 walks and six strokes.

USF managed to put a pair of tracks at the top of the third while recording zero strokes, but received five free pass to the first base of three downloaded walks and two Pitch. In the top quarter, Cougars were assisted by six free pass (four walks and two Pitch hits) and a mistake in the field until they were able to hit a three RBI triple to lead 8-7.

Volcanoes responded in the lower half of the four hits inning and seven tracks as Kakooka climbed two runways at a base stroke to get back the lead, and Brandon Wada struck the game: a two shock helmet over the left -wing wall to get up Result 14-8.

Devin Hayashi was credited for the victory, closing the top of the fourth with a blow to leave all three runners. The red kick also made a quick work in the T5 to go three up, three down.

Vance Oshiro ran 3 for 4 with three slopes scored and the stolen base. Min and Braden Mondo also had three hits.
