The Uconn Huskies Women’s Basketball Team created perhaps the most impressive performance of the NCAA 2024-25 season on Sunday when they blew up Gamecocks on South Carolina on their home court with a score of 87-58.
Azie Food was the best performer of the Huskita as she finished winning with 28 points (including 18 in the third quarter), while passing 6-10 from a three-point scope. After a trip, Huskies Geno Auriemma’s chief coach discussed Fudd’s game, saying: “It was a big moment for her. It really goes a long way to pushing it forward. I’m sure she had some doubts, do I still have it in me?
Food was interviewed on ESPN on February 17th and talks about the confidence he is delayed.
“I want to say that my confidence is definitely through the roof right now,” Food said when he asked him for her confidence, about the X post from @aysiacchanell. “But I think all this is the courtesy of my teammates. They made me those open looks. They gave me great gaps, they put me great screens.”
Later, she added: “It’s clear right now, my shot is falling. And I think I have this confidence and teammates who also have this confidence in me. I missed the shots of the first half and just heard this reassurance from them … to have this confidence from my teammates is something I would not trade. ”

It’s great to see Food find her shooting form after all the disadvantage she has encountered in her college career so far. And Uconn fans hope she can roll it when her team enters March.
