AXIS Magazine awarded a Golden Crown Award by CSPA – MDCTHERPORTERS

For the second consecutive year, AxleCreative Arts Magazine at North Campus won the Golden Crown Award of Colombia Association of Scholastic PressS

Two other publications at the college in Miami DeidCafé Cultura and Miambiance., Campus Literary Art magazines Hialeah and KendallWon the Silver Crown Award.

The confessions were announced on March 21 on the 101st annual CSPA Spring Convention in New York. They recognize the overall perfection in the printing of students or digital media.

This year the competition included work produced during the 2023-2024 school year.

“It is an honor for me to receive such a prestigious award,” says Professor Eric Cornish, AXIS Graphic Design Advisor. “It’s great to give students this opportunity to have this on their autobiography.”

Volume 21 of Axle Editor -in -chief included Bianca JulesManager Richemande Israelleading graphic designer Jeanne Cherry and an artist on the cover David Davenport.

They created the latest volume that started last October. It features a mosaic theme, including poetry, illustrations, photography and film.

Since his start in 2003, Axle was declared the highest literary magazine of art in their division by the Florida College of System College in 2018, 2019 and 2024, the CSPA Silver Crown Award in 2021 and Gold Crown in 2023. They also have a CEO Five awards for pacemaker for magazines from Associated Collegiate Press (2018, 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2024).

MiambianceVolume 34 examines the topics of growth, community and interconnectedness. His green cover with a black wood silhouette symbolizes the way people are connected.

This year, the silver crown is the sixth publication.

“We are really proud to get it again,” said Megan Carion, who serves as MiambianceEditor -in -chief in the last three years. “Every year, we determine the expectations for ourselves. Any victories make us really happy, but the knowledge that we are hitting this sign again and again was really satisfying.”

Café Culturas Volume 17 showcases (RE) evolution, a theme focused on interpersonal and scientific changes.

The end of each page has drawings that create a stop-moving effect when flipping through the book.

Café Culturawhich started in 2007, won four Crown awards and nearly 50 FCSPA Rewards.

Victor Calderin, an accomplice and co -founder of the publication, said the magazine is a point of pride for the community it serves.

“Hialeah has a lot of talent, a lot of genius inside it and should not be underestimated,” says Calderin, who was born and raised in the city of progress.
