Police investigators have not yet indicated whether anyone can be held criminally responsible for the death of a student at LarkSpur high school.
Virginia Beach, Washington, a lasting question in the investigation into the death of 12-year-old Juan Asevedo is the “authenticity” of ransom messages that encouraged investigators to treat the case as a possible abduction.
On Monday, the Police Diving team in Virginia Beach opened Asevedo’s body in a pond on the outskirts of the apartment complex, where it was last seen. He was missing just over 72 hours when the diving team found his body and extracted it from the water body. He had to be in a friend’s house that afternoon, but Amber Alert was released on Saturday morning after his family had not heard from him this Friday.

According to Virginia Police Chief Paul Naidgate, a $ 500 payment was delivered to someone who corresponds to the family while searching for Facebook Livestream answers.
“In which a family or someone on behalf of the family pays without additional communication,” he said.
On Tuesday, an updated statement by Virginia Beach officials repeated the authenticity of this ransom request.
Earlier, the Chief Naudgigating said it was too early to say in the investigation whether anyone would face criminal charges of Asevedo’s death. He added the opportunity for the financial request to be a fraud – not from someone who had legal information about his whereabouts – he was still on the table.
“Is this an opportunity? Is it absolutely. Is this one of our theories that this was probably a fraud immortalized in the family? Of course, we would be negligent if we did not treat him as a real threat, a real abduction, “he said.
The Chief Nujagur confirmed that someone has received the payment, but it may be necessary for law enforcement agencies working in various jurisdictions to understand who has received it and how much they can or cannot know.
“Unfortunately, since this includes outside countries, we need search and summons Varants to try to identify the individual who has received that money,” he said.
The employees of the Virginia Beach School have confirmed that Acevedo is a student at LarkSpur Secondary School.
